Small Business Workshops, Seminars and Tutorials

FREE, relevant, virtual workshops, seminars and tutorials offered to the business communities in the College’s mission area of Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, and Colleton counties. “Right-sized” workshops focused on topics important to local employers and their employees are hosted at the College’s three main campuses- Beaufort Mather Campus (Beaufort), New River Campus (Bluffton) and Hampton Mungin Center (Hampton).

Internships & Apprenticeships

One of the most difficult challenges that companies face today is the lack of a highly skilled and professional labor pool. If your company is battling similar issues why not consider Apprenticeship? Growing your workforce from within can be an effective and cost efficient way to establish a pool of well-qualified workers. Apprenticeship is no longer limited to traditional trades, but now it is a viable workforce development tool in a wide variety of occupations. Not only will your investment yield highly qualified employees, but your company could also benefit from a tax break! TCL faculty direct curriculum-led internship opportunities in a variety of program and career pathway disciplines, supporting employers from business and industry in our region with interest in creating internships and placing TCL interning students.

Virtual Business Events

In coordination with local and state chambers and workforce partners, TCL hosts annual career fairs, hiring events and virtual business events for regional employers.

Employer Roundtable

TCL President, Richard Gough, invites regional employers to actively engage in helping to guide and develop programmatic curriculum and training through the College’s Advisory Committees. Directly collaborate with the President, faculty and staff to ensure program content and training supports the workforce needs of the region and real-time demand of local employers.
