Certified Production Technician (CPT) is a nationally recognized certificate that can be used for employment across all manufacturing sectors. This CPT Certificate course is taught Live Online that offers a live instructor in an online setting. You can attend from your own home (if you have the right technical requirements – see below) or we encourage you to attend in-person at our TCL Colleton location at the Colleton Adult Learning Center in Walterboro. We’ll ensure you have the right computer equipment and great internet access, Plus, there’s an onsite staff person to help you all along the way!

About the Program

The purpose of the Certified Production Technician (CPT)® 4.0 certification program is to recognize through certification, individuals who demonstrate mastery of the core competencies of advanced manufacturing production at the entry-level to front-line supervisor through successful completion of the certification assessments. The goal of the CPT 4.0 certification program is to raise the level of performance of production technicians both to assist the individuals in finding higher-wage jobs and to help employers ensure their workforce increases the company’s productivity and competitiveness.

This course prepares a student to take the four individual certificate assessments in order to become a MSSC Certified Production Technician (CPT): (1) Safety; (2) Quality Practices & Measurement; (3) Manufacturing Processes & Production; and (4) Maintenance Awareness

Delivery: Online Self-paced. Must be completed within 6 months.
Program Length: 90 Hours
Prerequisites: MSSC strongly recommends that individuals be at a 9th-grade math and 10th-grade reading level.

  • While we understand that this course can be viewed on Android and iPhone devices, we do not recommend using these devices. The size of these devices do not provide a good learning environment for students taking online or live online based courses.
