Mental Health Journal Drive and Presentation by OADN Nursing Honor Society

Members of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN) Honor Society at TCL will present their project on mental health awareness and the benefits of journaling to the public and community on April 6.

The event will feature guest speakers and presenters from Coastal Empire Mental Health and Beaufort Memorial Hospital and is open to the TCL community and the public. Light refreshments served.

In addition, the Delta Rho Chapter of OADN will honor the late Karen Singleton, MSN, RN. Karen was a Nursing Instructor at TCL who invested in the hearts and minds of future nurses, and cared deeply for the promotion of mental health awareness.

Prior to the event, the OADN will be collecting new journals or gift cards to buy new journals. The journals will be donated to local hospitals in hopes of improving the mental health quality of nurses in our area. The honor society asks that donors write a note of encouragement on the front page of donated journals. This will provide a little extra support to nurses taking care of individuals in the community.

Drop off locations for journals:

Health Sciences Building 4 Main Lobby at TCL Beaufort Campus or anyone that is currently a member of the OADN at the Technical College of the Lowcountry. All journals or donations are due by March 31.
